Field-tested SHA-256 miners we have assessed, with hash rate ratings, maintenance difficulty, and thermal profiles.

Antminer S19 Pro SHA-256 miner

Antminer S19 Pro

110 TH/s Straightforward Maintenance

Bitmain's workhorse unit for mid-scale operations. Filter access is front-panel without tools. Fan replacement takes 25 minutes with standard screwdriver. We observed 98.2% of rated hash rate after 72-hour benchmark in a 28°C ambient facility.

Maintenance notes: Filter every 21 days in dusty environments. Firmware updates quarterly. Thermal paste inspection at 18 months.

Whatsminer M30S SHA-256 unit

Whatsminer M30S++

112 TH/s Straightforward Maintenance

MicroBT unit with robust fan design and accessible PSU compartment. Slightly louder than Antminer equivalents but tolerable in dedicated mining rooms. Hash rate stability excellent across voltage fluctuations between 210–230V.

Maintenance notes: Dual fan design means replacing in pairs. Control board firmware is less frequent than Bitmain. PSU dust filter is reusable with water rinse.

Antminer S19 SHA-256 hardware

Antminer S19

95 TH/s Straightforward Maintenance

Lower power draw than the Pro variant makes it popular for operators on residential-grade circuits. Heat output is manageable with standard warehouse ventilation. Common on the Korean second-hand market.

Maintenance notes: Watch for aftermarket fan replacements that do not match CFM spec. Stock fans are readily available in Seoul electronics districts.

AvalonMiner SHA-256 unit

AvalonMiner 1246

90 TH/s Moderate Maintenance

Canaan unit with a different board layout than Bitmain models. Maintenance is straightforward once you learn the access panel sequence, but spare parts are less common in Korea. We recommend keeping an extra fan on-site.

Maintenance notes: Control board is more sensitive to humidity. Store spare units in climate-controlled space. Hash rate holds well below 0.05 TH/s degradation threshold until board-level failure.

Antminer S19j Pro mining hardware

Antminer S19j Pro

104 TH/s Straightforward Maintenance

Energy-efficient variant popular with Korean operators facing rising electricity costs. Runs cooler than original S19 Pro at equivalent hash rate. Excellent candidate for operations prioritizing low maintenance overhead.

Maintenance notes: Standard Bitmain maintenance schedule applies. Lower heat output extends thermal paste lifespan to approximately 24 months in controlled environments.
